Small spool for 1.75mm filament

There are now 15001 printable filament spools available on Thingiverse. I've accumulated a significant amount of filament. With multiple printers in different locations and a practice of gifting friends small quantities to test before purchasing, I have been using empty spools but thought it would be beneficial to design my own custom spools. Printing ======= Any layer height is suitable, and I achieved good results with 200 micron (0.200mm). Printing without supports was necessary. For more heat-resistant filaments like PETG or ABS, you can even put the spool in a filament dryer; at least for PLA filament, this approach works well. Files ===== Initially, I uploaded two versions: one with filament locks on the outer edge and another without. Due to inconsistent results with the filament locks, I discarded those files. The most effective method for securing filament in place is to route it through the holes on the outside edge of the spool. Printing one side, then attaching the other side, will provide a secure fit. Design Goals ============ * This design must be printable on the 120mm square print bed of the Monoprice Select Mini (even though I have access to larger printers, this size works out well and is compact). * The spool should securely hold the end of the filament, allowing it to wrap nicely. * The filament should be held near tangential so that it lies flat as the first layer wraps on and does not disrupt subsequent layers. * A reasonable amount of filament should be used for the print. * Printing without supports is necessary. I have uploaded the F3D file if you would like to adjust any sizes using Fusion 360. If you need a specific size but do not have or prefer to use Fusion 360, please let me know and I will make the adjustments. Please share your creations!
