I. What is a shooting board? A shooting board is a valuable tool for woodworkers. It's used with a plane to precision-cut small pieces of wood at exact angles, typically 90° and 45°. The plane lies flat on the side, cutting the wood against the fence of the shooting board to minimize tear-out. Explore Wikipedia for more information. II. Properties of the model The provided model is designed for use with a very small plane and tiny pieces of wood. The fence stands at 15 mm (0.59 in) tall, with an overall size of 100 mm x 100 mm (3.94 in x 3.94 in), featuring 45° and 90° angles. The top side of the fence has been left blank for easy clamping. Two holes enable storing the board on a wall if needed. Currently three versions are available: right-handed, left-hand, and unmarked (right-handed). Right-handed and left-handed versions include two arrows indicating working direction. Unfortunately, my original models were damaged, so I cannot provide an unmarked left-handed version or upload .FCStd files yet. When first using the shooting board, you might notice that the plane removes some of the plastic material depending on the blade's depth. Ensure the walls are thick enough. After printing, inspect each surface to ensure they're flat (printers may leave bumps, reducing precision). III. Caution I'm not a professional designer, so I can't guarantee the design is perfect. Working with planes and woodworking in general can be hazardous. Be cautious, print, and use at your own risk.
