I design small, light-duty shelves that are ideal for holding spools and screwdrivers near my printer. I've also created some for my kids' toys and my daughter's ornaments, finding it convenient to have a simple shelf freshly printed from my machine. For these small shelves, I typically infill at 10 percent and use four perimeters with three solid layers on top and bottom. This allows me to print two shelves per roll of filament, resulting in sturdy units that meet my needs.
