Small Pulley - No Bearings Needed
thingiverse
On March 25, an update was made to Revision 1.5 of the part design, with significant improvements. Tomorrow, the author plans to use three newly printed pulleys in a job involving fiber pulling, as they are short-handed. The plastic pulleys will be advantageous because there is minimal risk of cutting the outer jacket. Acetone bath technique was used for finishing these pulleys, which helped seal the outer shell. In Rev 1.5, changes include increased diameter of hole in roller and frame, addition of a single roller to design, removal of decorative loop on top of frame, decreased diameter and shape change of end cap post to reduce post processing, and changed shape of end cap receiver in rod. The initial Rev 1.0 was just for experimentation, with some modifications needed for assembly. A brim was added to the frame rod for printing without movement, and separate printing is recommended due to small size. Overall dimensions are 59Hx29Wx24D mm. The author encourages users to share improvements and post their creations.
