Small Project Box
thingiverse
This is a DIY project box I made for an ongoing endeavor and thought it should be shared... The printed result turned out great, revealing a nicely crafted exterior... The cover has a suitable opening that can accommodate a 16X2 LCD comfortably, alongside enough space within to fit a compact board equipped with USB power sources and a power regulator. The cover securely attaches to the main body via M3 screws, while the LCD will fit snugly into the opening of the cover, and another STL file for the main compartment with an attachment point for a Panel Mount 2.1mm DC barrel jack from Adafruit (https://www.adafruit.com/products/610) is due to be uploaded shortly... Instructions This project was created based on the specifications of the LCD included with my Arduino starter kit back in the day; make sure the dimensions fit your display prior to printing, as other Chinese displays might be smaller in dimension than expected from their frames. The original frame that this was designed around is 71.5x27.2 mm. A free CAD source file has been uploaded for any necessary adjustments to the LCD dimensions.
