Small Pinball Machine
thingiverse
I originally created this as a pinball tournament trophy. It combines a 3D printed cabinet, legs, and rails with laser cut clear glass, playfield, and backglass panels. It's designed to be lit underneath the playfield and behind the backglass, so there is room to route wires and LEDs behind everything. There is also a mount in the rear for an Arduino Uno.\r\n\r\nAfter making the trophy, I expanded the model by adding a speaker and slot for a tiny OLED screen to act as a pinball dot-matrix display. These are the STL files from that, so you'll find holes cut out for those parts as well as a button in the rear for activating sounds. In case you want to incorporate those, here is the hardware I used:\r\n\r\nDisplay: 4D Systems gen4-uLCD-24PT.\r\nhttp://www.4dsystems.com.au/product/gen4_uLCD_24PT/\r\n\r\nSpeaker: 2W 28mm Bass Speaker.\r\nhttp://www.thecustomsabershop.com/2W-28mm-Bass-Speaker-P662.aspx\r\n\r\nThe speaker can be powered from your favorite Adafruit amplifier/sound board combination, and the screen runs its own processor and loops an animation on its microSD card. Everything else about the design should be pretty straightforward.
