The primary goal is to provide a substantial flat surface for quickly scanning through the collection, allowing users to easily identify and extract the desired part. Once the sorting task is complete, the tray can be tilted, enabling the unwanted parts to be poured back into their original container via the built-in spout. This convenient feature minimizes mess and ensures that all parts are returned to their designated storage space. Three separate trays were created because three distinct design concepts emerged, each offering a unique solution for organizing small parts. Users can freely resize these trays, but it's essential to consider the original wall thickness of 1.5mm to maintain structural integrity and ensure optimal performance.
