The Mendelmax1.5+-style printers require small tools for tasks such as loading filament, adjusting level and tension, etc. This drawer features left and right side rails along with a rear panel that has a magnetic catch feature. The files are mostly parametric, with dimensions of 100 mm wide, 170 mm deep and 28 mm high to fit between aluminum extrusions. It is mounted using 3 M5 screws and designed in such a way that it clears the Y carriage plastic strap used on linear support rail systems. However, it isn't suitable for older Mendel 1.0 designs with two support rods for the Y axis system. The drawer comes equipped with round refrigerator magnets glued to the rear panel and a steel washer placed between them for magnetic retention. A second washer is installed at the left edge, acting as a drawer stop and preventing items from dumping out when the drawer is inserted. The STL files are compatible with both ABS and PLA materials. There are two versions of the tray included: one with 3mm walls (Tray 1) which may warp in ABS, and another with 5mm walls (Tray 2). Additionally, a heat shield tab is provided for each corner to minimize layer splitting and warping. Lastly, if desired, an extra nut in the top front rail can be used to attach a flat trim panel to fill any gaps.
