Small Parts Cabinet
thingiverse
Small parts organizer designed to be highly customizable through OpenSCAD code changes, allowing easy modification of drawer count, width, and depth. One model has been printed using default settings (5 drawers, 100mm width, 80mm depth), but numerous other sizes have been successfully rendered. To ensure proper alignment, matching values in the cabinet and drawer files is crucial. Five different drawer types are available for selection. Printed nubs on each drawer level prevent them from falling out too easily. Enabling supports for drawers ensures correct printing of handles. Update 10/14/19: Main cabinet has been added to customizer, enabling users to set the number of drawers vertically and horizontally. Note that changing drawer dimensions in the customizer is not recommended, as it would require modifications to the OpenSCAD files for the drawers. Drawer dimensions are displayed in the customizer, but they should not be altered there. Small nubs have been added to make cabinets stackable, a suggestion made by Mercery049. These nubs are small and won't add thickness to the top or bottom of the cabinet. Update 04/06/19: Drawer #5 has been modified based on a suggestion from Darrel Raines. He noticed that this drawer was hitting on the nubs designed to hold them in place, so his change was incorporated into the design.
