Small Paddles
thingiverse
I create custom paddles with a pressure-fit handle and paddle blade attached to a sturdy 1 1/8 inch wooden dowel. Designed specifically for lounging on floating tubes, these paddles are just large enough to be practical without being cumbersome. After carefully sanding the pieces together, I reinforced them with hot glue to ensure everything stays securely in place. A few important notes about this project: I haven't put these paddles through any testing yet, so it's still a work in progress. They likely won't float, so be careful not to drop them or tie them to your tube. The blade may be slightly too small to be truly effective. Compared to standard paddles, the dowel makes this one heavier than usual. As with many of my other designs, I generated the OpenSCAD code using C#. If anyone is interested in seeing the code itself, just let me know.
