Project Overview A practical rack designed to hold unit size metric stub drill bits. These drill bits are often preferred over standard jobber length bits due to their stability in plastics and metals. I sourced these bits from a reliable industrial supplier. The back of this holder is flat, allowing it to be securely attached against any wall or edge of a workbench. All the holes have a generous 0.5mm clearance for easy loading and unloading of drill bits. I used OnShape to create this simple yet functional design that meets specific requirements for drilling with stub length metric bits in machine shops or when re-drilling 3D printed holes with consistent metric sizes from 3 to 12mm, also known as Screw Machine Length.
