My Simple DRO Variant for Small Lathe Tailstock Using Affordable Chinese Caliper Bill of Materials: * A caliper like this one can be purchased on Aliexpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/150mm-6-Plastic-Dial-Caliper-high-quality/473639151.html * 1 x M3 screw, 30 mm long * 1 x M3 screw, 20 mm long * 2 x M3 nuts * 1 x large M3 pad To assemble the caliper parts, refer to the image and cut off any unnecessary components. Drill a hole in the necessary areas. The main part is attached to the tailstock using superglue (Loctite Super Attak Power Flex Gel). The fixed body of the caliper is then glued onto this part. To secure the plastic part to the tailstock ram, use only a screw (be cautious not to take up too much space, as this may prevent the removal of a shorter morse taper). Print Settings: * Printer: Molestock * Rafts: None * Supports: None * Resolution: 0.2 mm layer height with a 0.4 mm nozzle diameter * Infill: 80% octagonal infill * Notes: This part was printed from PLA with an 80% octagonal infill.
