She walked slowly down the empty hallway, her footsteps echoing off the cold walls. The fluorescent lights above flickered and hummed, casting an eerie glow over everything. She felt a chill run down her spine as she passed by each door, wondering what lay beyond them. The air was thick with dust and silence, making it hard to breathe. Every now and then, a faint creak echoed through the hallway, making her jump. She tried to shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in her stomach. As she walked further down the hall, the doors began to look more and more like prison cells. Each one was identical, with steel bars instead of handles and a small slot at the bottom for food. The thought sent a shiver down her spine. She quickened her pace, desperate to get out of this place as soon as possible. But every door she passed by seemed to lead only to more corridors, more rooms filled with identical cells. She was trapped in an endless maze, with no escape in sight. Suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her. They were light and cautious, but they sent a jolt of fear through her body. She spun around, ready to defend herself, but there was no one there. The footsteps stopped as suddenly as they had started, leaving her wondering if she had really heard them at all. She took a deep breath and continued down the hallway, trying to shake off the feeling of being watched. But every step she took seemed to make the silence around her even more oppressive.
