Small Inn
myminifactory
This small inn is situated on what was once the border between two warring nations who ceased hostilities generations ago. Now it has become a quaint place of reprieve for weary travelers adventuring across the flatlands. This small inn was built up from the crumbling stone foundation of a derelict frontier watchtower long since abandoned. Sitting miles away from the nearest major road down a seldom traveled dusty path it is home to a gracious elderly couple who have loving kept the doors open and the table set for any and all who might need a good meal and a place to rest through the night. This design was made using the free version of the TownBuilder app. I happened upon the TownBuilder program while looking through MyMiniFactory.com to see if anything piqued my interest. It seemed like a great concept, so I investigated it. I have to say, even using the free version it had a ton of options. I tried to incorporate as many of the available structure blocks that I could into the build to make this relatively small building interesting. Also, the terrain expansions and scatter terrain options that are available would really expand what I can do with this program. I initially had to import the STL files into Blender in order to slice them into several small pieces to fit my printer. If I had a large enough printer I am confident that the files would have printed very well straight from the STL files supplied by the TownBuilder program. Ultimately, I had to do 10 separate prints and put them together in order to make the building, but it came together well. I found the program and the competition about 1 week before it was over, so I spent all the free time I could find printing and preparing this build for entry. I hope you enjoy it!
