My wife decided to resume her education, so I transformed our closet under the stairs into a dedicated study space for her. The challenge was that it was quite chilly in there, but fortunately, an HVAC line ran straight through it. To create this makeshift ventilation system, you'll need to cut out a hole from your vent that matches the dimensions of its outside flange (measuring 57mm or 2 1/4 inches). Next, insert the flange and secure it firmly in place. After that, attach the control unit - be aware that the tolerances are extremely tight, so you may need to apply some lubricant to facilitate the process. By turning one direction, you'll receive a gentle flow of warm or cool air; conversely, turning it the other way will shut off the airflow completely.
