This 3D model was originally created with Sketchup 8, later converted to all other 3D formats. Native format is .skp; the 3ds Max scene uses 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 This cottage stands out from others if you download and compare it to my other models. This old house originates from the vintage Sears & Roebuck line of homes, a kit model over 100 years old. It has an unconventional appearance, like a house seen near rail yards or urban lots with tiny corners. The model I referenced had tan siding, red trim, and a metal roof; I modified it for aesthetics, preserving all original details without updates or changes. This house boasts an unusual layout, featuring a living room and parlor divided by an archway, beyond which lies a kitchen (equipped with a stove only) and a spacious pantry. A bedroom with a walk-in closet is accessible from this area, while central stairs lead up to a landing and an ample upstairs bedroom with attic access. The basement can be accessed through stairs or a rear cellar hatch. One notable aspect of this house is its absence of running water – no sinks, bathrooms, or other plumbing fixtures. It's quite an unusual feature. If living in this house, installing a bathroom would be highly recommended. The chimney serves the furnace located in the basement. This house makes for an excellent filler in urban/historic neighborhoods and offers endless opportunities for creative modifications; I expect hours of enjoyment working with this model.
