The standard spool holder that comes with the Prusa i3 MK3 falls short when it comes to accommodating spools with narrow or small holes in the middle. You can easily upgrade one or both of the holder spigots by using this design, making it possible to use spools with small holes like the Sainsmart TPU filament. Spools with holes as tiny as 28 can be utilized seamlessly with this solution. Note: It's recommended that you print two of the lugs and set the infill to approximately 70% just for the lugs, as a considerable amount of strength is required to connect the new spigot and twist it into place. I have successfully used PLA, but ABS might be an even better option.
