Dusk has fallen over the Northlands. Andelphi--an initiate in the Golden Dawn--is on her first night of her first assignment. Her watch partner--Davindus, a member of the order for three decades--has gone on patrol, while the third member of their crew is set to return with provisions at dawn. When the sun sets, however, Andelphi is besieged by the undead in this region, their haunted bones willing to fight...but for what?
