Small fountain pump filter
thingiverse
This is a compact double-walled (for enhanced flow) filtering enclosure for a small outdoor fountain pump. The internal chamber of the enclosure measures 48mm wide x 72mm long x 60mm tall. A 16mm diameter hole provides unrestricted outflow at the top. Installing this filter has kept my outdoor fountain pump clog-free, a significant improvement over the previous situation where it would clog every other day. The "bone dry" test, which involves letting the fountain run until it's completely empty, was passed with flying colors. I forgot to refill the fountain, and all the debris inside should have been sucked into the pump filter. After refilling, everything worked perfectly – no need for removal and cleaning like in the past. I apologize for the lack of a preview image. Blender is not ideal for combining 1000 tiny pieces, and Thingiverse seems to agree on this point. Despite questionable geometry, it prints smoothly with Cura. If I figure out how to do this in Fusion 360 or fix the mesh in Meshmixer, I'll update the files accordingly.
