A stylish LED cover for standard 5mm LEDs is easily created. Elevate your electronics project by adding some flower-shaped indicator lights. The LED simply slides into the flower cover and the leaf parts slip over it, securely locked in place using a small rim on the LED. The LED leads pass through the hole at the bottom of the cover. A standard 8.5mm hole is required to fit the base of the leaves. I fabricated the solid flower in vase mode on S3D with zero bottom layers and a .4mm extrusion width. It took me several attempts, but my printer still needs some adjustments to achieve perfect results.
