Small End Table
thingiverse
Milling out a small end-table from 1/2-inch plywood is an accessible project. All necessary parts can be cut from a single quarter panel of plywood measuring two feet by four feet, leaving some extra space for adjustments. However, tolerances are tight, and you may need to file the slots slightly to ensure everything fits properly. My friction-fit end-table was assembled without glue, using malleting techniques instead. Milling Notes The most challenging aspects are the pockets in the tabletop where the leg tabs sit. These should be approximately 0.32-0.35 inches deep. Additionally, I used a 90-degree V-bit at a depth of 0.24 inches around the outer perimeter to create a decorative bevel on the underside (milling the tabletop upside-down). A 1/4-inch downcut end mill was used; remember to add appropriate fillets for your tool before cutting or be prepared to file/cut those inner slot corners square by hand.
