Small End Blade. XCB-105-2953. BCE-100 CE\nXCB-105 Adamagan, named for its strategic position near walrus hunters' grounds in Aleut, marks the head of Morzhovoi Bay on Alaska's western Peninsula. This colossal village housed diverse occupations when it was inhabited from BCE to 100 CE, boasting an estimated 1000 residents at its peak. The site also yields evidence of limited occupations spanning BCE and CE: 2200-1700, 1000-600, and 900-1100.\nWestern Alaska Peninsula artifacts arise from a research project funded by NSF grants 9630072, 9814086, 9996372, 9996415, 1139266, and 1321411. H. Maschner led the investigation as Principal Investigator. Artifact digitizing employed Faro Edge Arms or Minolta Vivid 9i scanners; processing occurred in Geomagic or Polyworks, with 2-8 photos utilized for texture in Geomagic Wrap. Initial digitization took place at IVL in Id. St. Univ., while subsequent analysis and publication were completed by Global Digital Heritage.
