Small End Blade XCB-105-1080, a significant artifact from the ancient village of Adamagan (Aleut for place of walrus hunters), located at the head of Morzhovoi Bay on the western Alaska Peninsula. This massive settlement was home to multiple occupations and is estimated to have been inhabited by approximately 1000 people between 400 BCE and 100 CE, making it the largest Arctic village during that time period. Limited occupations were also identified in the Western Alaska Peninsula artifacts, dating back to 2200-1700 BCE, 1000-600 BCE, and 900-1100 CE. These findings are a direct result of research conducted under grants NSF 9630072, NSF 9814086, NSF 9996372, NSF 9996415, NSF 1139266, and NSF 1321411, led by Principal Investigator H. Maschner. The artifacts were scanned using either the Faro Edge Arm or the Minolta Vivid 9i, and processed in Geomagic or Polyworks. A minimum of two to eight photos were used for texture in Geomagic Wrap, with original digitizing work done at the IVL at Id. St. Univ. Subsequent processing and publication were completed at Global Digital Heritage.
