I use these small drape molds to create tiny ceramic dishes by carefully smoothing a slab over them and then cutting around it to form a rim. The clay adheres to plastic when wet, but with these molds I've found that no release agent is needed - I simply let them sit on the molds until they're dry enough to be gently pried off. This process typically takes 12-24 hours for me, and I aim to remove them just before they reach leather hard stage. If left on too long, the dish may crack as the clay shrinks away from the mold, so caution is advised. For a faster workflow or when necessary, consider using a mold release that's safe for your materials. To speed up production, I don't prioritize high print quality. It's relatively easy to smooth out any layer lines that transfer to the clay, and sometimes these imperfections are interesting enough to be left intact. These molds can also be used as pop-up molds by pushing cut slabs into foam to form dishes, and they might work well with other types of clay using the right release agents.
