This is a compact, versatile rotating actuator. Programmed using Arduino, for example, following the tutorial at https://www.makerguides.com/28byj-48-stepper-motor-arduino-tutorial/, it enables precise control over one axis with minimal Z-offset. I employed an Arduino Nano. It's advisable to utilize the models without soldered sockets whenever possible. As it can be programmed for variable speed, this actuator can also function as a turntable for 3D scanning purposes. To convert it into a 3D scan turntable, simply mount a cake-plate on top of it. No printing is required; merely apply glue or screws to secure the plate in place. Add some lubricant, such as silicone or printer maintenance oil, to facilitate smooth operation. Finally, insert small nails after ensuring all parts are securely pushed into place to lock the holder and cap assembly. Failing to do so may result in the disco ball falling onto your head! I used three small yarns knotted together to create a stable mount for the disco ball. Three Ritzel (small gear) assemblies with different fittings are included. Experiment with various configurations to determine which ones work best on your printer.
