Small DIP IC Lead Bender v1.00
thingiverse
When working on electronics projects or kits that involve integrated circuits (ICs), it can be challenging to insert the ICs into their sockets without damaging the pins in the process. This delicate operation requires careful handling and often results in uneven bends, which can be frustrating. To overcome this issue, I have designed a simple tool that helps straighten the pins by pinching them together. This initial version of the tool is suitable for use with standard ICs, but I plan to upgrade it to accommodate longer chips in future iterations. Additionally, I aim to create a separate tool specifically designed for larger DIP chips, which will cater to a wider range of users. Time required to print: 1 hour and 16 minutes Material usage: approximately 11 grams or 3.73 meters of filament
