This tiny timepiece revolves around a compact OLED display. It's an effortless build that can be completed in under an hour. You'll need to fabricate a small PCB, but using wires as a substitute is also an option since the design is quite minimalist. If you want to add a touch of personality to your timepiece, consider printing an enclosure. I chose not to include a face plate, but it could be a nice finishing touch depending on your personal style. I initially wanted to use the Adafruit OLED display, but unfortunately, they were out of stock at the time. As far as I know, the Adafruit display may not be compatible with this project, but I haven't conducted further research. The code is surprisingly simple. With a 3.7v lithium-ion battery, you can expect around 7 hours of continuous use. With some creative power-saving tricks, it's likely that runtime could be significantly increased.
