Small Control Horn
thingiverse
A precision-designed horn for small electric RC aircraft is available for download. To install it, simply cut a slot in the control surface and secure it with glue. This design works seamlessly with both balsa wood and foam models. The accompanying images are scaled to perfection, but the horns can be easily resized to suit various requirements. I've also included a SketchUp file, which can be modified as needed. Update: Two new versions of the horn have been added, featuring holes in the base for enhanced glue joint strength. Printer Settings: Homebuilt core-XY printer Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.05 mm layer height, 0.4 mm nozzle Infill: Irrelevant Notes: Print with PLA material. Ensure that bottom and top layers exceed 0.5 mm to achieve a solid print. Use 1-2 shell layers for optimal results.
