Small Christmas House
thingiverse
Christmas is rapidly approaching, fast enough for my wife to exclaim "Now you can put that 3D printer to good use making Christmas decorations". So inspired by the house design at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:610696 I decided to create a little Christmas village from different style houses. This is my first OpenScad design. It features trees and stars, as well as Santa himself! Two holes in the bottom allow for easy LED installation. It's small, which means much of the detail gets lost with a 0.4mm nozzle. But it's designed to print easily in PLA or ABS without supports or extensive bridging. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm per layer Infill: 10% Notes: OpenScad complains about a potential invalid 2 manifold issue, but Slic3r isn't concerned. I'll need to spend some time investigating the problem - later. This design should print easily without supports. Post-Printing My wife insists that the trees "should be green". I argue, "But they're covered in snow!"
