This example illustrates several applications of components I've designed. Check out how they're combined using my modular box system: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:506288. The setup uses my latest design, a hinged windowed topframe with lid. The hinges' splints are made from 2mm-diameter toothpicks. Have fun assembling it! I'll create another version soon and plan to add spacing to make fitting easier. Stay tuned for updates! Updates: Version3R4 is on its way. A lid with a latch has been tried out in the draft. The frame with a latch was successfully printed and assembled with Version3R3's lid. Now, Version3: R3 is revised. I've added some space (0.2mm) between the frame and lid here and there. Hinge mounts are now with eccentric holes, splint holes have been increased to 2.4mm for easier insertion of toothpicks, and the lid size has been increased to 1.5x89x131mm, covering the frame's footprint fully. I've added Version2: * The frame height has been enlarged to 5mm, hinge mount enlarged, screw heads sunken into the frame. * Full circle pads are on all corners of the frame * Lid size is enlarged to 1.5x88x125mm * Hinge mounts shifted underneath the lid Version1 is retired. Instructions Installing hinges: Stack two pieces without splints. Check for a snug fit and clear sight through the holes. See the light at the end of the tunnel? Examine closely if there's excess. Scratches away or drill manually.
