Small Box Volume Estimator

Small Box Volume Estimator

Sometimes when designing boxes to hold and organize small parts, it's hard to estimate the exact volume you will need to hold a certain number of parts.  I come across this problem all the time, for example, when I am organizing components from board games.  In one of the pictures, you can see how I am getting an estimate of the volume required to hold a bunch of board game miniatures.InstructionsPrint either:3 long sides + 1 long side with no tab3 short sides + 1 short side with no tab2 of one size + 1 other size + 1 other size no tabWhen assembling the box, the last side you place will be impossible to fit because of the tab. Just snip off the wide part of the tab so it can slip through the slot, or print one of the sides using the “no tab” version of the model.  Then use something to hold the “no tab” in place on the other side. You can see in the pictures that I use a binder clip.PrintingI printed mine in Hatchbox PETG with 0.4mm layers on a 0.6mm nozzle. Prusa Mk3S+.
