small ATX Housing for 3D Printer
thingiverse
I upgraded my power supply because I added a headbed to my setup, so I'm using a compact ATX power supply now. It didn't look very neat, so I designed a custom case to house it. I also included a spot on the case door where you can attach a small PCB if needed. In version 2, I incorporated airflow from the side to prevent debris from entering the fan area since it's pointing upwards. The power supply measures 12.5 cm x 10 cm x 6.3 cm in size. I've added some photos of the fully constructed setup and also connected a mini-board for external power distribution with 2x12V, 2x5V, and 2x3.3V outputs, which are directly sourced from the PSU. As it happens, my original Printrite board features a 4-pin processor connector identical to the one on the power supply, so I kept the cable intact, allowing me to power the printer board directly without any issues.
