PETG would be a superior choice for this project due to its resistance to heat distortion. When using ABS, thermal expansion can cause significant inaccuracies in the final product, resulting in a 100mm scale that is actually 99.5mm and right angles that deviate by as much as 11 degrees from perfection. Given these limitations, it may be more practical to opt for PETG.
