Small and simple spindle
thingiverse
I am designing a small and simple spindle for use with a small lathe that is powered by a 775 12-volt motor. The total diameter of the spindle is 60 mm, while its piece diameter measures 40 mm. Four M5 screws with recessed nuts are used to tighten the piece in place. As shown in the picture, there is also a self-locking nut M8 embedded that accepts a pointed threaded bar M8 and locks it into position on the other side. The design of the lathe takes into account that this bar will slide through two ball bearings with a diameter of 22 mm and an internal hole of 8 mm. These ball bearings are commonly used in skateboard wheels, but they will be used according to the project specifications for the lathe. I am currently working on completing the lathe project ....
