I've been meaning to make a replacement odometer knob for my Honda Rebel since the day I bought the bike, but somehow always managed to forget about it until today when the bike was conveniently parked next to the printer and the memory finally clicked into place. As you can see from the picture inside the speedometer, the stem is incredibly small, so I had to use a lot of extra layers and infill at a .2mm layer height to get it just right. Printing in ABS worked out perfectly for this project. One thing that did catch me off guard was the tiny size of the D post hole on the nose, which didn't require any supports during printing. However, my printer had an error that made the 3mm diameter a bit too tight, so I created files at different sizes, approximately 3.9-4.2mm in diameter, just in case. And as for the printer used to make this replacement knob, it's a CR-10 courtesy of Gearbest, so I felt it was only fair to put it through its paces and create something useful with it.
