Hello! This is a handy little accessory that gets screwed directly onto the top of your extruder. A single, strategically placed hole lets in your filament - 3 millimeters wide - giving you room to customize if needed. I didn't bother drilling out a second one; it's your project now! The picture attached to my 3D printer hasn't been taken yet - and when it is, it'll show this clever little contraption taking shape. What the accessory does, though, is get securely fastened across that big screw on top of the extruder. That way, you can keep your filament nice 'n' clean, feedin' straight in through a bolt - and hold everything firmly in place at the same time! First off, I worked out my design using 2D drafting techniques before moving over to SolidWorks for 3D modeling magic. I went ahead with a simple extrusion that was just ten millimeters high. Then it was onto exporting this beauty as an STL file.
