SMA Thumb screw REMIX
thingiverse
This remix takes Dpruim's SMA Thumb Screw to the next level by incorporating a few key modifications. The design allows for easier SMA connector seating, making it an absolute game-changer for anyone who's struggled with getting those connectors to snap into place. I tweaked the original model to give it a slightly larger scale, scaling up the flat-to-flat dimensions of the SMA connector to 8.2mm on this particular version. The end result is a design that stands taller than its predecessor. The most notable change lies in the redesign of the bumps along the sides, which have been reimagined as smooth, cylindrical protrusions rather than the more mechanical-looking gears found on the original model. If you find your prints coming out too tight, don't worry – just measure the flat-to-flat distance within the connector pocket and adjust your scaling factor accordingly (the design is set to 8.2mm for this purpose). Given the minuscule size of this design, even with a precision-calibrated printer, some minor adjustments might be necessary to get it to fit perfectly. I printed mine at 0.1mm resolution without any issues.
