I'm creating a SMA connector knob that fits perfectly with my FatShark goggles cloverleaf antenna. I measured the hex nut at 8mm, leaving some extra room for easy tightening. By making it slim enough, I ensured there's plenty of clearance between the knob and the goggle body, allowing for smooth operation (check out the photos). This modification should make it a breeze to turn the SMA connector on my goggles. Maybe this hack will be helpful for you too...
