Sly Cooper's Cane Head

Sly Cooper's Cane Head

I was asked by a friend to assist him in creating a prop for Sly Cooper's cane. I have included a printable head for his cane, modelled in Fusion 360. The model stands approximately 36cm tall when printed at 100% scale. If you want to mount this on a dowel to create an actual cane, the bottom has a diameter of 1 1/4" (at 100% scale), so use that size dowel. A reference image for modelling was sourced from http://slycooper.wikia.com/wiki/File:Slycane.png (included in the model images). The model prints in three pieces. Print in orientations given, with pieces one and three upright and piece two upside down. I have included two versions of parts one and two each with a different location of the division between them. Part three is the same for both versions. The first version is what I printed and what is shown in the images. The cut is in line with the tip of the downward point. The largest piece is ~218mm tall, which my printer could accommodate. For smaller printers, use version two. It has the cut placed at the midpoint between the bottom of part one and the bottom of part three. Parts one and two are both ~158mm tall in this version. If you still can't accommodate this size, you will have to make different divisions. A full, uncut version of the model has been included for this purpose. I used white PLA, which my friend will most likely spray paint. Metal fill material or acetone-smoothed and painted ABS would suit this model well. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Tinkertine Studio Printer: Ditto + Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Post-Printing I connected the three parts with superglue. Some sanding of the connecting surfaces helps the superglue bond the parts in my experience.
