My Own Version of an Angle Miter Gauge Customizable to Your Rail Dimensions ------------------------------------ I built my own version of an angle miter gauge, and it's totally customizable to fit your specific rail dimensions. You can adjust the arm length to suit your needs. Precise Measurements --------------------- The gauge features precise half-degree markings for accurate measurements. Feedback Appreciated ------------------ If you need any other rail shapes or features, please let me know! I'd be happy to add them. How to Print It ---------------- To print this gauge, follow these steps: * Slicer Settings: Make sure your slicer settings are correct. Specifically, "Horizontal Expansion" needs to be calibrated so that a 20mm cylinder will fit snugly into a 20mm hole. * As a reference, I use -0.07mm for my Ender 5 printing PETG. You may need to adjust this value depending on your printer and material. * No Print Support Needed * Since the STL file already includes print support, you won't need to add any extra supports during slicing. * Printing Instructions * Slice and print AngleMiterGaugeKnob.stl as usual. * To create the lower part of the gauge, use OpenSCAD: 1. Edit AngleMiterGaugeLower.scad to fit your specific dimensions. 2. Render the design. 3. Export it as an STL file. 4. Slice and print it. * Repeat this process for the upper part of the gauge. * Before assembling, make sure the pin on the upper part goes fully into the lower part hole. If not, you can try twisting the parts together while applying some pressure or sanding them down to fit snugly. Assembly Instructions ---------------------- To assemble the gauge, follow these steps: * Place an M6 hex bolt through the knob and a large washer just below it. * Make sure everything is aligned properly before tightening.
