Slow Feeder for Cats and Small Dogs. Prevents vomiting and overeating.
thingiverse
Prolongs eating time and aids with weight control, reducing the risk of vomiting and gas. Slower eating helps alleviate "bloating and gulping" that can lead to vomiting in some animals. Transforms your pet's meal into a challenging game for them. Designed for cats but will work well for small dogs too. CAUTION: Cats are fine, but monitor hyper and aggressive dogs as they may poke their own eyes. It's difficult to tell from the image, but the design is bowl-shaped and sinks in around the center. It only holds 0.5-2 handfuls of food at most. Use less food for weight loss purposes. The less food you put in, the more challenging it becomes for your pet to get out and eat slowly, forcing them to use their paws to pull out and eat each piece of food. The extended eating time of 10-30+ minutes for a cat helps prevent bloating and vomiting after meals. Print Settings: Printer: QIDI TECH Dual Extruder Rafts: Doesn't matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.4mm Infill: 20% Notes: The image is a "very rough" first run with a 0.4mm layer height, but 0.2mm or 0.1mm could be used if you have the extra time. It's the very first print on my new QIDI Tech Dual extruder 3D printer. I used PLA as it's environmentally friendly and plant-based. 20% infill, 4 shells, 2mm walls and ceiling. Could go much thinner as it took 8.7oz (244 grams) of filament. I have a heated bed and didn't use any rafts or supports. The first run in the picture is actually glow-in-the-dark filament. Sized for a 225mm x 145mm Makerbot Replicator dual clone bed, but can be resized or scaled to fit your own bed.
