Slotcar-Fahrwerk für Sauber Mercedes C-9 in 1:24
thingiverse
Hallo, this is my first chassis for a 1:24 slotcar. As a family man and slotcar fan, I've always thought that buying a chassis for such a model would be too expensive. Despite skeptical looks from colleagues and strong reservations, I decided to try building a 3D chassis. For a long time, I had a kit and Lexan top of a Sauber Mercedes C-9 in my closet which had to be put together. Unfortunately, after the first attempts at printing, it became clear that both tops had significant differences in size, so the chassis fits better with the top from the kit. Although there are 1mm guides for the Lexan top in front and on the sides, I still need to lengthen the chassis forward and go further into detail in the back...I'd like to integrate a rear spoiler. The front axle is spring-mounted and has recesses in the base plate for weights. Everything is designed for 3mm waves and will be suspended with standard ball bearings with an outer diameter of 6mm. A standard FOX motor is used as the engine. - The first test drive went pretty well...although I only had two weights available. The slotcar took off like a shot, but unfortunately, it lacked grip due to insufficient weight. 16.11.2018 - Mercedes5.0 front axle added. 18.11.2018 - Motor holder2.0.4 strengthened slightly. 18.11.2018 - oggy81's modified base plate MercedesNeu5.0 was added.
