made a base that the snake can slide into. also added a rattle tail end and curved the tail a bit more. the space between the base slot and the snakes protrusion is 0.13mm, so it fits snugly. I suppose you could print the base in white and yellow to switch how strong the snake is in game, but all i have is gray at the moment. there's a blender file if you wanna mess with it.
