Atingting kon, also known as Slit Gong, is a piece from Ambrym Island, Vanuatu, created in the mid to late 1960s. Commissioned by Tain Mal, it measures 175 1/4 inches high, with a width of 28 inches and depth of 23 1/2 inches. Made of wood and painted, this Ambrym cultural musical instrument is part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection, acquired in 1975 through the Rogers Fund. A 3D capture of the artifact was made by David Neff and Miles Lightwood during the Met MakerBot Hackathon in June 2012 at the museum in New York.
