Slip Ring with 608 Bearing for 28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor

This is a slip ring for a 28BYJ-48 stepper motor using a 608 bearing. I removed the dust cap from the bearing and cleaned out the grease with WD-40 to establish an electrical connection. Update: I discovered that the WD-40 evaporated, causing me to lose the connection. To resolve this issue, I applied Ox-Gard Anti-Oxidant Compound (electrical grease) to the bearings. This product is widely available at Home Depot or Lowes for approximately $4 per tube. You can stack multiple bearings and bearing traps on top of each other to pass more than one connection. However, I have not tested this setup yet. The common via was passed through the motor shaft. I only transmitted power - specifically 5 volts - to light up some LEDs in a moving doll head for Halloween purposes.
