Slip Ring Nacelle for plaszlonet's wind turbine
thingiverse
There are two versions of the nacelle. One is for Shimano DH-F703, which has a thinner axle about 5mm thick. The other is for Shimano DH-2N30-E, which has a thicker axle, approximately 9mm. This part adds a slip ring to the turbine, enabling the nacelle to rotate indefinitely without wires getting tangled. It replaces the "wind_t_h_front_V4.stl" part. The turbine tower adapter STL allows you to mount the turntable to the 50cm M10 filleted rod that you would have purchased for the original design of the turbine. "Turbine apex stl" is an optional additional add-on that enables you to attach another threaded rod to the top of "wind_t_h_mid_V4.stl", allowing a cable to run from the top of this rod to the end of the turbine's tail, acting as a support cable like on a tower crane. This design does not require 2 x bearings with an ID of 10mm and an OD of 26mm. To build this part, you will need: * 1 quantity of a 94x94x9mm lazy suzan turntable plate * 8 quantities of M4 screws and nuts I acquired my turntable plate from the following eBay listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Full-Ball-Bearing-Swivel-Plate-Metal-Lazy-Susan-Turntable-TV-Rack-Desk-RZ-fS/153084679542
