Slingshot Roll Cage Cargo Rack Mounting
thingiverse
This is my version of the Roll Cage Roof Rack Mounting system. I checked online and discovered that Polaris Slingshot Roof Racks are indeed available. However, their prices were too steep for me, so I decided to design and build my own. There are several variations of this mount, and you can choose the one that suits your needs best. I opted for the V7 version with 50% infill at a layer of 0.2mm. Additionally, you'll need 12 self-locking nuts and bolts in 5/16 inch size, along with washers. For the cross members, I used 1-inch PVC pipe to prevent scratching the paint, and applied 20-mil plumber's tape for added protection. The other versions of this mount simply slide on with a gentle push. As you can see from the pictures, it worked out extremely well. I recently upgraded my setup by adding V8 front and rear mounts, which feature larger top holes to accommodate the PVC pipe. Don't worry if the front pipes slip out; the washers will keep them securely in place.
