Slingshot 360 Bracket Extensions

Our tablet stand / bracket is no longer suitable for our 8" tablet due to its small size. The newer versions come with two mounting plates, but I didn't want to purchase a new stand just for a larger base. I designed a 2-piece assembly that allows you to replace the slider portion and create any-size or style of outside piece you desire. The sling-shot bracket comes apart with 4-screws and requires some work. You'll need case-separation tools and patience, as it fits very tightly and needs to be worked around the perimeter. The sliders are a tight fit and may require sanding to slide smoothly. I used M3 thread-forming plastic screws (only 4 available) but superglue could also be used - friction holds it in place due to the tight fit. There are two styles of holders: top and bottom. The bottom can be printed twice if your tablet has power/volume on the side, as is the case with our Amazon Fire 8.5 tablet. I created a custom bracket that avoids pressing the power button while leaving the USB open. If you want custom brackets, import the STL file into your CAD of choice and sketch out anything you like. Hole spacing is 22mm by 82mm, 3mm in diameter, offset 4mm from each side on the slider assembly. Please post a make if you create this project and let me know how it turns out. If you have questions, ask in the comments!
