Slimline Pen Case

Slimline Pen Case

thingiverse

I needed a simple pen holder for some slimline pens I made as gifts, so I designed one that self-aligns the pocket clip vertically when you put the lid in place. This makes it easy to lift the pen out of the case and uses magnets to hold the top to the bottom. The magnets are 6x2mm round neodymium magnets - I used these ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BPG1MYC - make sure they attract before gluing them into each half of the case, or it won't stay together. The pens were based on kits from this website: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074MRY2YR - but instead of making wood pens, I turned the barrels from brass and aluminum on my metal lathe. They look and feel a lot like Zebra 301 type pens (although I haven't checked if the Zebra pens will fit the case).
