This Slimline PC Computer Case project was completed in 2011 for an Engineering Design 3 course. The goal was to create a compact case using the MiniITX motherboard format, with a maximum thickness of 2.5 inches and the ability to house at least 300W worth of electronics. A prototype was constructed from plywood and cardboard for thermal and acoustic testing. The final design was detailed in SOLIDWORKS, and a sheet metal shop produced the case at no cost. All requirements were met, and the project gained recognition on [H]ardOCP.com. For more information, watch the attached YouTube video or download the project PDF.
